A zine about zines for engaged researchers
Make It, Share It, Mean It: a zine about zines, for researchers
What if your research could fit in a pocket, pass from hand to hand, and be made with nothing more than scissors, glue and a photocopier?
Make It, Share It, Mean It is an 8-page, hand-made-looking zine that invites researchers to try a different way of making and sharing knowledge. It covers where zines came from, from 1930s fanzines through punk and riot grrrl. It makes the case for zines as real knowledge objects, rooted in community and care. And it shows examples in the wild, from oral histories to know-your-rights guides.
Then it hands over to you. Two pages are left blank on purpose, so you can start your own.
